Privacy Policy

Merchants of Wisdom ("we," "us," or "our") is based in Bayawan, Negros Oriental, Philippines. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our websites, including ebook.merchantsofwisdom.com (the "Site"), our free Problem Analyzer Ebooks, Practical Solution Workbooks, masterclasses, and any membership or community we offer (together, the "Services"). It also explains how we use that information and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

Problem Discovery Search. Our homepage search lets you describe a problem in your own words.

  • Anonymous mode on: your search stays in your own browser. We do not collect or store it.
  • Anonymous mode off: we store the words you search so we can understand which problems parents face most and improve our library. These searches are saved as general website searches. They are not linked to your name, email, or contact details.

"Suggest a problem" form. If your search has no matching ebook, you can choose to submit the problem to us for our future roadmap. Submitting is optional. If you submit, we collect your email address and the problem you searched for, so we know who suggested it and can follow up.

Fillable ebook and workbook pages. Our Problem Analyzer Ebooks and Practical Solution Workbooks include interactive fields. Anything you type there is saved only in your own browser. When you download your answers as a PDF, the file is created on your device. We do not receive or store these answers.

Sign-ups and opt-ins. When you request a free ebook or masterclass, or join our email list, we collect the details you enter, such as your name and email address (and your phone number, if you choose to opt in to text messages).

Purchases and memberships. When you buy a product or join a membership, we collect your name, email, billing details, and order history. Payments are handled by our payment processors, SaligPay and PayPal. We do not store your full card number.

Messages to us. If you email us or contact support, we keep your message and our reply.

Automatically collected information. Like most websites, our Site and service providers may collect device and usage information, such as browser type, pages visited, approximate location (from IP address), and referring website. See our Cookie Policy for details.

2. How we use information

  • Deliver the ebooks, workbooks, masterclasses, and memberships you request or buy
  • Process payments and send receipts and account emails
  • Send emails (and SMS, if you opt in) about our resources and offers; you can unsubscribe anytime
  • Understand which problems parents search for, and decide which ebooks and workbooks to create next
  • Respond to your questions and suggestions
  • Keep the Site secure, prevent fraud, and fix technical issues
  • Meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

  • Service providers who help us run the Services, such as our CRM and website platform (HighLevel), SaligPay and PayPal, email and SMS delivery, video hosting, Google Analytics, and Facebook (Meta) Pixel. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
  • Legal and safety reasons, when required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
  • A business transfer, such as a merger or sale, where your information would remain protected by this policy.

SMS privacy. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

4. Children's privacy

Our Services are designed for parents, guardians, and adults aged 18 and over. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Some of our resources ask parents to reflect on their child, or let a child play alongside a parent. Those inputs stay in your browser and are not sent to us. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

5. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Purchase records are kept as required for tax and accounting. Email subscribers are kept until they unsubscribe or ask us to delete their data. General search terms that are not linked to anyone may be kept to improve our library.

6. Security

We use reasonable safeguards, including trusted service providers and encrypted (HTTPS) connections. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your choices and rights

  • Search privately by turning on anonymous mode.
  • Unsubscribe from emails using the link in any email, or reply STOP to any text.
  • Clear browser data to remove anything saved locally by our Site, including fillable form answers.
  • Access, correct, or delete your personal information by emailing contact@email.merchantsofwisdom.com.

Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), you have the right to be informed, to access, to correct, to object, to have your data erased or blocked, to data portability, and to file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, such as the right to data portability, to object to or restrict processing, to withdraw consent, or to complain to your local data protection authority. Residents of some US states (such as California) may request information about the categories of data we collect and ask us to delete it. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

8. International users

We and our service providers may process information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

9. Third-party links

Our Site may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here with a new effective date. If the changes are significant, we will notify you by email or on the Site.
